Hong Kong’s financial regulator the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has updated its Alert List, which features the names of businesses that are unlicensed in Hong Kong and are believed to be, or to have been, targeting Hong Kong investors or claim to have an association with Hong Kong.
Added to the SFC Alert List is the company Nippon Capital Asset Management, operating at nipponholdings.com and Osaka Financial.
Belgium’s Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) has already warned against Nippon Capital three months ago.
According to the SFC, the company uses bank accounts in Hong Kong in the names of Able Century Limited and Glory Jet Limited for settlement. The company is apparently associated with Osaka Financial, another unlicensed entity on the Alert List and also on FSMA list.
