IG Group Holdings plc (LON:IGG) has made it official – it is about to launch a dedicated trading app for Apple Watch.
The UK CFD and stockbroking expert is planning to roll out the new solution as soon as the latest Apple’s product is out there. This means the new solution by IG, called IG Apple Watch trading app, will be available in April 2015.
The new app will start automatically on Apple Watch, if the trader already has IG’s app for iPhone. All of the data and preferences will automatically transfer to the watch. But if you think that the new app will be a copy of IG’s app for iPhone with some small adaptations for a smaller screen, you’re mistaken.
The IG team has given a lot of thought and has created an app that is specifically designed for Apple Watch. To mention one difference, the Apple watch app will display only from live, open and tradable markets. The aim is to offer the traders a more personal experience.
The main features of the app are three:
-
Watchlists;
-
Holdings;
-
Calendar.
A trader will be able to place orders with instruments like shares, binary options, contracts for difference. Orders with stops and limits are poised to be introduced in the future. Switching between various accounts is easy, with the app reminding which account a trader is using at a given moment.
The move reiterates IG’s commitment to the development of mobile trading technology. The entry into the world of wearable gadgets is another step towards exciting innovations by the broker, with the app set to allow convenient and fast access to the global markets.
