Provider of low-latency technology and market data feed services Interactive Data has partnered with developer of risk management software GlobalRisk to support the derivatives oversight operations of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
The US regulator has issued a contract to get the additional tools to help it evaluate and monitor the risk exposures for derivatives transactions in real time.
The agreement is in tune with industry-wide initiatives seeking to bolster risk management analysis and standardization for OTC derivatives.
GlobalRisk’s FirmRisk offering captures real-time or delayed equities, futures and options data from Interactive Data’s Consolidated Feed and conducts stress tests and analytics to help calculate intra-day risk exposure metrics.
Emmanuel Doe, Managing Director and President, Real-time Feeds for Interactive Data, said,
“Managing derivatives risk is a challenge and high-quality data and methodologies enable a better understanding of real-time risk exposures. We believe our collaboration with GlobalRisk can assist the industry in its efforts to advance risk management through high-quality data and powerful analysis in support of strategic decision-making.”
Steven Probst, CEO and President of GlobalRisk, added,
“When GlobalRisk was awarded this contract I knew that a project of this scope would require our best real-time risk management software paired with high-quality market data. We found our answer with Interactive Data.”
