Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) earlier today updated its list of unauthorized businesses, which target Japanese investors.
Amid the latest additions to the list is binary options broker 919binary (aka Quick Binary), operating from www.919binary.com/ja/.
The regulator notes in its warning that the address of the company is unknown and that some of the information provided on the website of 919binary is most likely false.
One more thing to mention is that the broker is offering Japanese investors binary options with expiration times of 60 seconds. Offering such short-term options is prohibited under Japanese laws.
The regulator stresses that all companies that offer trading in financial instruments, and binary options are considered as such in Japan, are required to get the necessary license. This requirement applies to overseas companies too.
