International clearing house LCH, majority owned by London Stock Exchange Group Plc (LON:LSE), today announces two senior executive appointments, beefing up its Forex team.
Effective May 1, 2016, Daniel Maguire will become Global Head of Rates & FX Derivatives. In his expanded role, Mr Maguire will be in charge of the global product and business development of Listed and OTC Rates and FX Derivatives through the Group’s SwapClear and ForexClear services.
Mr Maguire has been Global Head of SwapClear & Listed Rates since March 2014, after successfully spearheading SwapClear’s move into client clearing. Mr Maguire has 15 years of industry experience in clearing, risk and default management and product development for both listed and OTC derivatives, and has been intrinsically involved with the SwapClear service development and growth since its inception in 1999.
Between July 2005 and August 2008, Mr Maguire was Vice President at JP Morgan Chase.
Paddy Boyle has been named as Head of FX Product at LCH. Mr Boyle is a senior industry professional having been Global Head of G10 FX Options at Goldman Sachs. Mr Boyle was a member of the Bank of England Joint Standing Committee on FX and also a Board member of the Global FX Division of the Global Financial Markets Association. More recently he has been a Consulting Partner at Turing Experts Limited involved in providing expert witness analysis for regulatory and non-regulatory investigations and litigation in FX.
