Transatlantic talent joins LCH.Clearnet in senior position, joining the board of directors on April 25, with additional responsibility as Chair of the firm’s US division
LCH.Clearnet today announced that Jill Considine has been appointed to the Board of Directors of LCH.Clearnet Group. Jill will join the Board on April 25, 2014. She will also serve as Chair of the Board Directors of LCH.Clearnet LLC, the Group’s US-based entity. Mr. Aigrain remains Chairman of LCH.Clearnet Group.
Ms. Considine brings a wealth of experience to the Board with a distinguished career in both industry and government service. She brings a deep understanding of market risk and the market infrastructure and clearing sectors. From 2009 – 2011, Jill was one of three trustees of the AIG Credit Facility Trust appointed by the US Treasury and Federal Reserve Bank of NY.
Additionally, Ms. Considine also served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation, and its AAA rated subsidiaries, from 1999 until 2008 and was President of the New York Clearing House Association L.L.C. from 1993 to 1998. Prior to these roles, Jill held an executive role and Board position with American Express Bank Ltd; served as the New York State Superintendent of Banks; and served as a member of the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where she was Chairman of the Audit and Operational Risk Committee.
