London Capital Group (LCG:L) has today announced a series of further senior leadership hires as its rejuvenation continues to bear fruit.
François Nembrini, who joined as global head of sales and trading in October after an extensive career as Managing Director of FXCM, has been elevated to becoming a Director at London Capital Group Limited, the main operating company of the London-listed parent.
Mr. Nembrini, who detailed the entire ethos behind London Capital Group’s ability to onboard extremely top level industry talent in a TV interview with LeapRate last week, will work closely with executive chairman Charles-Henri Sabet as the group focuses on the improvement of services to existing clients while driving forward the growth of new products and markets including an international expansion.
Mr. Nembrini brings 13 years of international financial services experience with expertise in foreign exchange for institutional and retail markets. He most recently served as the global head of FXCM Pro Sales, the online foreign exchange market broker, across New York, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo covering prime of prime, e-FX and voice services.
The second senior appointment has been assumed by Mark Sykes, who joins London Capital Group as head of trading covering all products and risk in the firm reporting to Charles-Henri Sabet. Sykes brings 24 years’ City experience including the past 14 years at the forefront of the development of quantitative trading and machine learning across large international investment banks including Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citi and Deutsche Bank and an earlier career running IT systems for financial firms including ING Derivatives.
Bastien Lussault brings more than a decade of equities derivatives experience with a speciality in structured products and a proven track record in leading successful trading teams. Bastien spent nine years at Commerzbank where he was a managing director and one of three desk heads in the bank’s structured derivatives global team based in London, responsible for single stock exotics. Bastien joined the bank when its derivatives team was in its infancy, helped it to grow to a 50-strong, leading team across all structured derivatives trading.
With London Capital Group already providing foreign exchange trading, spread betting and CFDs for retail clients and corporate partners, the arrival of François, Mark and Bastien is part of a renewed focus and expansion across all three areas alongside a drive into more institutional based markets and the development of a greater sophistication of product offerings and client services.
Charles-Henri Sabet, executive chairman of London Capital Group, said: “These new arrivals bring a wealth of experience in cutting-edge quantitative risk management strategies, to help drive the firm’s offerings across all of our client base. They will accelerate the delivery of a new range of sophisticated investment and trading products using the very best in responsive technology platforms for both our existing client base and to help our expansion into new markets and services within the UK and over time further afield in response to client demand.”
