Saxo Bank, the online multi-asset trading and investment specialist, today announced the appointment of Savaş Divanlıoğlu as Head of Saxo Capital Markets Turkey, to be responsible for the bank’s operations in Turkey.
Mr. Divanlıoğlu will be reporting to Saxo Bank’s Head of Central Eastern Europe Region, Emmanouil Lemonakis.
Mr. Divanlıoğlu joins Saxo with more than 20 years’ experience, including as CEO of X-Trade Brokers Turkey which he established in 2010.
He commenced his financial career at Citigroup in the United States in 1997 and subsequently held Director and Assistant General Manager positions at Citibank Turkey, followed by a stint in Israel where he was Citibank’s Global Transactions Country Head till 2007. He founded Citigroup’s securities arm in Turkey and was CEO of Citi Securities İstanbul until 2009. Divanlıoğlu earned his degree from Boğaziçi University Mechanical Engineering Department and has an MBA in finance from Penn State University in USA.

The appointment comes soon after the launch of SaxoTraderGo, a new and intuitive, multi-asset trading platform aimed at meeting the needs of a new generation of Turkish traders. SaxoTraderGO has been designed with a special focus on usability, performance and seamless integration when switching between desktop and mobile environments.
