Denmark-based forex broker Saxo Bank has made its second major personnel move of the week, again going outside the organization for talent. And again, in a newly-created role.
After adding Danske Bank’s Soren Kyhl as COO (and possibly heir apparent to the CEO role), Saxo Bank today announced it has gone outside the organization (and the industry) to tap Philip Wegloop from audio products provider Bang & Olufsen – one of Denmark’s largest consumer products companies. Wegloop’s newly created role is that of CXO – Chief Experience Officer.
Wegloop will join Saxo as of October 1, and will report directly to the newly-hired Kyhl.
In his new CXO role, Wegloop will be responsible for the Saxo Bank ‘user experience’, including marketing, digital, PR and external communications and competitive intelligence to further strengthen the Saxo Experience across the value chain.
Wegloop was most recently Global Consumer Marketing Director at Bang & Olufsen, a leading audio products provider and one of Denmark’s largest and best-known consumer products companies. His experience also includes specific financial services expertise gained at Nordea where he served as Head of Digital Marketing and Head of Customer Insight & Market Intelligence.
