Scivantage, a Global FinTech 100 technology provider of wealth management and cost basis solutions, today announced one more addition to its senior ranks.
The company has hired David Root, formerly of Envestnet, Inc., as Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Root’s key function in his new role will be to continue Scivantage’s recent success in providing innovative technology solutions to leading financial institutions.
“I am excited to start a new challenge with Scivantage and look forward to working with the team to further build out its presence in the marketplace,” said Mr. Root.
Mr Root has extensive sales and relationship management experience in the wealth management market place. His successful track record spans investment products and web based software sales.
He has held several senior sales positions at industry leading financial services organizations including FundQuest Inc., Neuberger Berman, LPL Financial Services and Putnam Investment Management. Most recently, Mr Root was responsible for developing new business nationally for Envestnet, a provider of unified wealth management technology and services to investment advisors.
Christian Farber, Scivantage CMO, Head of Sales and Marketing, says,
“We’re thrilled to welcome David aboard during this exciting period of growth for the company. His proven experience bringing in large enterprise clients will be key our success.”
Mr Root’s appointment is announced shortly after Scivantage welcomed ex-Bank of New York VP Joseph Velli to its Board of Directors. In October last year, Chris Calhoun, former Chief Operating Officer of Gain Capital Holdings Inc (NYSE:GCAP), joined Scivantage as its Chief Executive Officer.
