Sweden’s financial services regulator Finansinspektionen has named Erik Thedéen its new Director General.
The appointment becomes effective this Wednesday – October 21, 2015.
Mr Thedéen takes the helm at the Swedish financial watchdog after spending only six months in the role of Chief Executive Officer at KPA Pension. The company has already started a search procedure to find a permanent replacement for Mr Thedéen.
Jens Henriksson, KPA Pension’s chairman, stressed that although it is sad to see Erik Thedéen leave it has been a privilege having such a sought-after and highly skilled person at the company. He wished Mr Thedéen good luck in his new job.
Erik Thedéen has previously worked at the Swedish Ministry of Finance, Nasdaq OMX (Stockholmsbörsen) and the Swedish National Debt Office.
