Just a couple of days ago Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) clarified the situation regarding the launch of its latest gadget – Apple Watch, in Switzerland, amid rumors of delays due to patent issues. As the computer giant said that Apple Watch will arrive in Switzerland on June 26, 2015, we could not help checking about Swiss companies to offer Forex apps that are compatible with this smart watch.
Not surprisingly, it turned out that Swissquote Group Holding SA (SWX:SQN), the Forex broker and bank, has already developed an application for Apple Watch, with the integration being in place in April this year and some corrections and improvements implemented last month.
The Swissquote app is more of an information service at this point. It gives direct access to the main stock exchanges with a view on the latest financial news. Users can create their own list with favourite stocks and follow their daily or historical evolution.
The app offers rapid access to currency exchange rates, along with market quotes for shares. Various charts are there to provide extra visual information about selected instruments.
The smart accessory, in the face of its small size, has gained the attention of other online trading companies too, as IG Group Holdings plc (LON:IGG) and Rakuten Securities have offered their apps for Apple Watch to the trading community too. Whereas Rakuten’s app is dedicated mostly to the stock market, the IG Apple Watch Trading app enables traders to access a broader range of markets, including CFDs, spread bets and cash equities. It is obvious that FX companies are starting to look closer at wearable technologies.
